Giraffe Wood Knob | Premium Wooden Cabinet Knob India

In short: the Giraffe Wood Knob is a wood cabinet knob from the Brass Essence range, 90 mm — best for wider drawer fronts with room for the giraffe's elongated horizontal shape.

Brass Essence Product Code: W-0024

The Giraffe Wood Knob stretches a long neck and small head silhouette in solid natural wood, at 90mm wide — the widest single piece across the entire fourteen-animal W-0024 series, needing that extra horizontal reach specifically to carry the giraffe's signature elongated neck.

Because the neck runs the full length of the piece rather than curling or folding the way the octopus's tentacles do, this knob has a strong horizontal line to it, distinct from the more compact, rounded silhouettes of the turtle or jellyfish elsewhere in the series — a shape that reads best mounted with the neck running along the drawer front rather than vertically.

Given its width, the giraffe suits wider drawer fronts specifically, where the full 90mm shape has room to sit without crowding the edges — narrower drawers may suit one of the more compact animals in the series instead, such as the lion or jellyfish.

The vendor specification for this particular animal lists a wood-plus-brass material note, differing from the plain natural wood stated for most of the other animals in the series — similar to the variation flagged on the cat knob — and we'd recommend confirming with the vendor before treating it as materially different from its set-mates.

Beach wood keeps the giraffe pale and savannah-toned, while walnut deepens it for a richer, more defined silhouette against lighter cabinetry.

What is the Giraffe Wood Knob?

The Giraffe Wood Knob is a wood cabinet knob from the Brass Essence range. According to Janke hardness testing data for American black walnut, walnut measures roughly 1,010 lbf on the Janke hardness scale, the industry-standard test for a wood's resistance to denting, putting it comfortably in the range used for quality furniture and cabinetry, which is part of why wood is a genuinely practical choice for hardware that gets handled daily, not just a decorative one.

Why is the giraffe knob wider than most of the other animals in the series?

Its 90mm width is needed to carry the giraffe's signature elongated neck as a single continuous shape, making it the widest single piece across the entire fourteen-animal W-0024 collection.

Is the giraffe's material listing the same as the rest of the animal series?

The vendor specification shows a slightly different material note for this piece, similar to a variation flagged on the cat knob elsewhere in the series — we've noted this for verification rather than asserting a confirmed construction difference.

Which drawer widths suit the giraffe knob best?

Wider drawer fronts suit it best, given its 90mm horizontal reach — for narrower drawers, a more compact shape like the lion or jellyfish knob from the same series may fit more comfortably.
